Description
The Eisenhower Matrix, also known as the Urgent-Important Matrix, is a time management tool that helps prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. This easy-to-use Notion Template helps you categorize tasks into four key quadrants:
Quadrant 1: Urgent and Important (Do)
Tasks that require immediate attention and have significant consequences if not done. These are often crises or pressing deadlines.
Example: Completing a project due today or handling an emergency.
Quadrant 2: Not Urgent but Important (Plan)
Tasks that contribute to long-term goals and personal development. These require planning but don't need to be done right away.
Example: Strategic planning, learning new skills, or exercise.
Quadrant 3: Urgent but Not Important (Delegate)
Tasks that feel urgent but don't contribute significantly to your goals. Often, they can be delegated to someone else.
Example: Answering non-critical emails or attending unnecessary meetings.
Quadrant 4: Not Urgent and Not Important (Eliminate)
Distractions or activities that don't add value. These should be minimized or eliminated.
Example: Excessive social media scrolling or watching TV aimlessly.
By focusing on Quadrant 2, you can reduce the number of urgent crises in Quadrant 1 over time.
